  • Storage: 2 GB available space
  • Network: Broadband connection

Recommended (Windows)

  • OS: Windows 11 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 or better
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1050 or better
  • Storage: SSD with 4 GB space
  • Network: Stable broadband connection

macOS (BETA)

  • Mac: Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4...)
  • OS: macOS 11 Big Sur or newer
  • Storage: Free space in your user folder
  • Network: Required during installation
  • Admin: Not required - installs in ~/Applications/BalrogTC

Intel Macs are not guaranteed - only the Apple Silicon build has been tested.

macOS Installation (BETA)
  1. Make sure you are on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, M4...) running macOS 11 Big Sur or newer.
  2. Download and open BalrogTC-Installer.pkg.
  3. Follow Continue → Continue → Install, keeping your internet connection on. The installer is a small stub (~4 KB) that downloads the client from our update server during the installation.
  4. The client is installed in ~/Applications/BalrogTC, inside your own user folder - no administrator password required.

Security warning (Gatekeeper)

The installer is not signed, so macOS may block it on the first run. If that happens:

  • Right-click the .pkg file and choose Open, or
  • Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

This is a one-time step - after that the client opens normally, without any warning.
