The Balrog OT reserves the right to intervene in harmful behavior within the game, on the official website, or any platform related to its services. Such behavior includes, but is not limited to, the following violations:
1 - Names
A) Name Imitating Support Do not create names that imitate or reference the support team or game administration.
B) Offensive Name Offensive or disrespectful names are strictly prohibited.
C) Inappropriate Name Names must be appropriate and consistent with the game environment.
2 - Cheating
A) Bug Abuse Exploiting or abusing game bugs is forbidden.
B) Multiclient Running more than one game client simultaneously to gain advantages, such as controlling multiple characters at the same time in events, bosses, hunts, or anywhere outside the PZ, is strictly prohibited. This practice can unbalance the game and harm the experience of other players. Exceptions apply to characters that are stationary, such as in protection zones or trainer cabins. Violations will result in disciplinary actions, which may include permanent bans.
C) Illegal Software The use of unauthorized or illegal software is not permitted.
D) Integrity Checks The server administration may conduct periodic checks to ensure that all players are complying with the game rules. This may include software verification, behavior analysis, database checks, and other forms of monitoring. Refusing to cooperate or attempting to obstruct these checks will be considered a rule violation and may result in severe penalties, including permanent account bans. Our manual checks will introduce unconventional situations within the game, where you will be required to interact with our team on the spot to avoid immediate punishment. Penalties will be applied along with recorded evidence of the player's actions by a member of our team and cannot be contested by the user after the team's final decision. Additionally, bans resulting from external verifications are made through analysis and cross-referencing with our database and, for this reason, also cannot be contested by the user.
E) Reports Players are encouraged to report suspicious behavior or rule violations to the server administration. However, submitting false or malicious reports to harm other players is prohibited. Responsible use of the reporting system helps maintain the integrity and fairness of the game. Use the in-game report tool directly on the character or on chat messages.
F) Automation Tolerance The server tolerates automation only during training moments, such as exercise weapons, trainer cabins, and training magic level while AFK (away from PC). Hunt areas, bosses, among others, are not allowed for being away.
G) KS and Lure Kill stealing (KS) and lure (attracting monsters to other players) are practices that, although they may be frustrating, are part of the competitive environment of the game. The administration will not intervene in disputes related to these practices, except in cases where they clearly harm the gameplay experience in a significant and repetitive way. Extreme situations that cause imbalance or disorder on the server will be analyzed individually, and appropriate measures will be taken if necessary. Players are encouraged to resolve such issues in a friendly and sportsmanlike manner.
H) Illegal Software The use of any program, script, or tool that automates PvE or PvP gameplay, provides information not available to other players, or modifies the game in any unauthorized way is prohibited. This includes bots, macros, hacks, and any third-party software that interferes with the normal operation of the game. Remember that all situations must be reported and verified by a member of the team. We will not accept third-party images and/or videos as verification methods. Violators may face immediate and permanent bans.
J) Follow KS It is strictly forbidden to use the follow function during KS (Kill Steal) situations, regardless of whether you are the player performing the KS, the one suffering from the KS, or any other party involved in the situation. This prohibition applies to both manual follow and the use of automated scripts. Offenders will be banned for 3 days for the first offense, with recurrences resulting in a progressive increase in the ban duration. For example: If you are hunting with your party and someone is using follow, and another player invades the hunt, the player who is using follow must disable it immediately.
K) Follow Autoresponse Players detected placing a follow character on the checking system will be banned, as will the character being followed.
3 - Messages & Declarations
A) Offensive Content Offensive messages include, but are not limited to, threats, harassment, racist comments, sexist comments, or any form of hate speech. Mutual respect is fundamental to the community. Any violation of this rule may result in warnings, temporary or permanent mutes, and, in serious cases, account bans.
B) Personal Data Disclosing or requesting personal data, addresses, phone numbers, banking information, or any other sensitive information is strictly prohibited. Player safety and privacy are absolute priorities. Any attempt to violate this rule may result in severe actions, including bans.
C) Advertising or Propaganda Any unauthorized advertising, including the promotion of other games, products, or commercial services, is strictly prohibited. Only announcements approved by the server administration are permitted and will always be made by the team. Violations of this rule may result in warnings or bans.
D) Spam Sending repetitive or irrelevant messages that disrupt communication within the public channels of the game is not allowed.
E) Supporting Rule Violations Supporting or encouraging other players to violate server rules, whether through instructions, encouragement, or any other form of assistance, is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, helping with exploits, hacks, cheats, or any behavior that compromises the integrity of the game. Violations of this rule are treated seriously and may result in immediate bans.
4 - Sales
A) Bazaar The bazaar system is the only authorized platform for buying, selling, or trading characters within the game. Any transaction made outside this system, whether for real money or any other form of payment, is strictly prohibited. This ensures security and fairness for all players. We will not intervene in situations involving negotiations made outside the game, but we will punish advertisements of parallel sales or any influence in this type of market.
B) Tolerance Any attempt to defraud, deceive, or perform unauthorized transactions will be treated with extreme seriousness. This includes, but is not limited to, item scams, false sales, price manipulation, and the use of external means for financial transactions. The administration reserves the right to investigate, reverse, and penalize any suspicious activity. Penalties may include severe warnings, removal of items or characters, and temporary or permanent account suspension. Please note that we will not control external groups making this type of sale and will not act in situations where the negotiation was done privately between players. We will punish when there is severe interference in our game and/or when there are advertisements in the server's public channels.
C) Announcements Any character sale advertisement must be made exclusively for characters already in the bazaar system. This ensures that all transactions are secure, verifiable, and within the game's rules. Advertising characters for sale in our in-game chats or on Discord is prohibited if the character is not on our bazaar platform. If the advertisement includes a character outside the bazaar, the responsible players may be warned or banned.
5 - In-Game and Channel Conduct
A) Help Channel Use this channel strictly for gameplay-related questions and answers.
B) Advertising Channel Use designated channels for ads, with moderation.
C) World Chat Use World Chat for general discussions with respect and civility.
D) Casinos Casino characters are strictly prohibited from staying inside depots.
6 - Company & Legal Matters
A) Impersonating Staff Any attempt to deceive other players by making them believe you are part of the server's team or administration is a serious violation. This includes using names, titles, or any behavior that falsely suggests authority or official affiliation. Players who violate this rule will face severe penalties, including immediate bans.
B) Defamation or False Information about the Company Spreading rumors, false information, or any kind of defamation about the company, its team, or its services is strictly prohibited. This includes publishing misleading information in channels, social networks, Discord, or any other means of communication. Such actions harm the company's reputation and the trust of players. Violators may face severe warnings, suspension or bans, and, in extreme cases, legal actions.
C) Attacking Company Services Any form of attack on the company's services, including DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service), sabotage attempts, and any action that compromises the stability and security of the server, is strictly prohibited. These attacks not only affect gameplay but also the security and integrity of all players' data. The administration will take immediate measures to mitigate attacks and punish those responsible, possibly involving bans and legal actions.
D) Violating Laws or Regulations Any activity within the game that violates real-life laws or regulations, such as fraud, threats of violence, harassment, or other illegal activities, will be treated with extreme seriousness. The administration will cooperate with legal authorities as necessary to ensure the safety and legality of actions within the game. Players involved in such activities will face immediate bans and may be subject to appropriate legal actions.
7 - Account Sharing
Sharing your login, password, or account access with third parties is at the player's own risk. By allowing another person to use their account, the player acknowledges the risks involved, such as security issues, loss of items, changes to the character, or other consequences of this sharing.
If a shared account is used to commit any violation of the server rules, the staff may apply administrative measures to the accounts directly linked to the case, considering the available records, the relationship between the accounts, and the severity of the violation.
For the purposes of applying the server's internal rules, the account holder is responsible for keeping their credentials secure and for controlling who has access to the account. The fact that another person is using the account does not, by itself, prevent the application of administrative measures.
The staff is not required to conduct an individual investigation to identify which natural person was using a given account at any moment. Nevertheless, administrative decisions will be made based on the information and records available on the server.
BalrogOT recommends that players do not share their accounts with third parties.
Penalties Any violation or attempted violation of the rules may result in temporary sanctions on characters and accounts. In more severe cases, the removal or alteration of skills, attributes, and items of characters may occur, as well as the permanent deletion of characters and accounts without compensation. The applied penalty is proportional to the severity of the offense and the player's history. Decisions are made at the sole discretion of our team and may be applied without prior notice.
These rules are subject to change at any time. All modifications will be announced on the official website.
If your account or one of your characters has been punished, you will find a record of the violation on your account page. There, you can check the reason and duration of the penalty.
Terms of Use
Rule 1 — Accounts, Characters and Virtual Goods
Accounts, characters, currencies, items, and other virtual resources existing on BalrogOT are part of the virtual environment administered by the server.
The player is granted authorization to use the account and the virtual resources linked to it while using the server and respecting its rules.
The existence of characters, levels, items, currencies, or other virtual resources does not grant the player any ownership rights over the infrastructure, database, system, or services administered by BalrogOT.
The staff may adopt the administrative measures necessary to protect the security, balance, and operation of the server, including warnings, suspension, blocking, banishment, removal, or correction of items, currencies, or progress, especially in cases of:
- rule violations;
- bug exploitation;
- fraud;
- use of prohibited programs;
- attempts to harm other players;
- threats to server security;
- irregular acquisition of items or advantages;
- other conduct incompatible with BalrogOT's rules.
When necessary to protect the server or stop an ongoing irregularity, administrative measures may be applied immediately and without prior notice.
Administrative decisions may take into account technical records, logs, account history, and other information available to BalrogOT.
The application of internal punishments does not automatically create a right to restitution, compensation, or indemnification, without prejudice to any rights that may be guaranteed to the player by applicable law.
When services, benefits, or virtual resources are acquired through payment, any consumer rights applicable under Brazilian law will be respected.
Rule 2 — Responsibility for Players' Actions
The rules and punishments applied by BalrogOT are exclusively administrative in nature within the server.
The application of banishment, suspension, blocking, reset, item removal, or any other administrative measure does not replace any civil or criminal liability of the person who committed the conduct.
Acts such as threats, racism, discrimination, fraud, slander, or other conduct that may constitute civil or criminal offenses are the personal responsibility of whoever commits them, in accordance with Brazilian law.
BalrogOT does not assume responsibility for personal acts committed by players, except in situations where applicable law assigns responsibility to the server itself.
When necessary, BalrogOT may preserve records and cooperate with competent authorities, provided there is a legal obligation, court order, legally valid request, or another circumstance authorized by Brazilian law.
Personal data, technical records, and other player information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection legislation.
Rule 3 — Administrative Authority of the Staff
The staff has the authority to administer BalrogOT and enforce its rules in order to preserve the security, balance, operation, and good coexistence within the server.
Administrative decisions must observe the published rules, the nature of the incident, and the information available at the time of the decision.
In situations involving fraud, exploitation of flaws, security risks, item manipulation, or other serious situations, the staff may adopt preventive measures immediately.
The existence of these rules does not place BalrogOT, its administration, or its players above Brazilian law.
No provision of these rules shall be interpreted as an advance waiver of rights that cannot be waived by agreement between the parties.
Final Provision
By using BalrogOT, the player declares to be aware of the server's administrative rules and commits to respecting them.
These rules govern the internal use of BalrogOT and shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable Brazilian law.
If any provision of these rules is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain valid to the extent permitted by law.
